Heritage River Landing
heritage river landing – commercial landscape architecture
The Heritage River Landing is located on the banks of the Missouri River in Bismarck, North Dakota. This facility houses the offices of the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation, the Huckleberry House Restaurant, and is also the launching point for the Lewis & Clark Riverboat.
AGL was commissioned to design an outdoor environment that takes advantage of the riverfront venue while reflecting the native vegetation of the great plains. An etched granite inlay was created as the centerpiece of the entry sequence into the building. This inlay includes a map of the Northern Plains National Heritage Area, intended to inspire exploration of our great state. The result is a riverfront setting that has quickly become one of the most beloved venues in the community.
